  • "Wes and the team at UrbanStorm assessed my roof in Coffs Harbour and found a substantial amount of hail damage. They sent details through to AssessDirect who were extremely helpful in getting the claim approved. Once everything was approved their local roofing team replaced the roof for free through my insurance and did an incredible job!”

FAQs

  • As a property owner and client of UrbanStorm, all services and construction are completed at no cost to you. We invoice the insurance company. The most you will have to pay is your insurance excess.

  • Although insurance companies will not guarantee premiums, a storm (hail) claim is a no-fault claim. When a large storm occurs, most insurers raise the rates of everyone who lives in the storm path, regardless of a claim being filed.

  • The insurance company involves a builder to come and inspect the property. They may also involve an assessor, sub-contractor(s), or engineer. The role of those involved at this point of the process is to determine the scope of work and pricing. The next steps are the most important in the whole process (including whether to accept the proposed scope and pricing).

  • Once scope and price is agreed upon, it is time for construction. In partnership with AssessDirect, we have influenced scope, discussed pricing and are ready to accept the claim. As the property owner, you have control over who does construction. This is where your expert UrbanStorm Site Manager will navigate the build process with you!
